Study Information

Pneumonia Vaccine

Over 1 million people in the United States are hospitalized with pneumonia annually (CDC). Approximately 50,000 people die from the disease every year in the United States. Most of those affected by pneumonia in the United States are adults.

The pneumonia vaccine helps prevent pneumococcal disease. Side effects of pneumococcal disease can be deadly, which is why it is so important that you are vaccinated.

We’re seeking healthy adults ages 65 to 85 who have never received a pneumococcal vaccine to participate in upcoming clinical research studies. These studies are focused on evaluating new vaccines designed to help protect against pneumococcal disease. Your participation could make a lasting impact on the future of adult vaccination.

Our qualified study participants may receive:

  • Quality medical care at no charge
  • Compensation for time and travel
  • Confidential study-related exams
  • Access to the study vaccine
  • One-on-one, private visits
  • Flexible appointment hours
