Lawrence D. Sher, M.D., FAAP
Dr. Sher is the medical director of PRA. He has served as the principal investigator for over 200 clinical research trials focusing on allergic rhinitis, asthma, COPD, COVID-19, hypertension, pneumonia, sinusitis, vaccines and more.
Monica Saad, M.D., FAAP
Dr. Saad has been the sub-investigator for more than 200 research studies at PRA. Her clinical expertise includes studies focused on allergic rhinitis, asthma, chronic bronchitis, otitis media, pneumonia, sinusitis, and vaccinations.
Leigh Ann Schmidt, FNP
Leigh Ann is a board licensed family nurse practitioner. She focuses on our food allergy studies, particularly peanut. Leigh Ann is a South Bay native and loves working and raising her family in the same community that she grew up in.
Jordan Wertheimer, MBA
As Vice President of Clinical Operations, Jordan oversees and manages all daily operations at Peninsula Research Associates. He contributes to business development and negotiates of all trial contracts and budget.
As our CFO, Renée manages all cost, managerial, and financial accounting for PRA. She is responsible for the day-to-day administration of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, benefits, and human resources.
Jennifer Smith Sher, MA
Jennifer plays a key role in the marketing, development, recruitment and public relations of PRA. She creates and manages study-specific patient recruitment plans and works with sponsors to meet their recruitment goals.
Jennifer serves as our Director of Business Development. Jennifer joined the PRA team with an extensive business background and is working to spearhead the business development and aid in improving operations.
Debbie Cappy, CCRC
Debbie serves as PRA’s Director of Regulatory and QC. She has played a key role in over 300 clinical research trials. Debbie’s areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, allergic rhinitis, asthma, ADHD, and vaccinations.
Monika manages both the research coordinators and research assistants at Peninsula Research Associates. She helps maintain a high level of patient care while ensuring all of our research goals are being met.
Heather has been working as a clinical research coordinator at Peninsula Research Associates since 2017. She currently devotes her time to phase III trials, focusing primarily on asthma, atopic dermatitis and diabetes studies.
Kristen joined PRA as a clinical research coordinator in 2018. She works with Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) food allergy trials, including peanut and egg allergy studies. Kristen’s love for working with children shines through in her patient interactions.
Paige is a clinical research coordinator at PRA who, since joining our team in 2020, has worked on various COVID-19 vaccine and COVID-19 antibody treatment studies. Paige is passionate about helping patients receive quality healthcare.
Lynn works as a research assistant at PRA. Lynn is involved in our major COVID-19 vaccine and antibody studies where she extracts monoclonal antibodies for spike protein analysis, processes serum specimens, and prepares vaccine doses.
As a clinical research assistant, Oriene has her hand in almost all of our clinical trials here at PRA. She’s often processing labs, obtaining patient medical records, completing data entry and helping our coordinators prepare for studies.
